Austin Shaffner

Background

Prior to joining RunSwitch PR, Austin was an Assistant National Communications Director at Disabled American Veterans. There he strategized and produced videos that would advocate for veteran issues in Congress, raise money for veteran assistance programs, and bring awareness of important topics affecting veterans.

Austin’s career in video production has a diverse history that gives him a well-rounded skillset in this area of expertise. While in college at the University of Louisville, he took internships with a local video production company and onset of a local tv program. Soon after he purchased equipment and started freelancing; producing local tv shows, and operating wilderness camps for reality tv shows in Alaska. A few years later, Austin began filming outdoor shows full-time with America’s largest outdoor media company. Simultaneously to this career, Austin also serves in the KY Air National Guard. After receiving Distinguished Graduate of his Air Force video training class at Fort Meade, MD. he spent six years producing videos and training other airmen on video production.
