Public Affairs Director

Overview

RunSwitch PR, Kentucky’s largest public relations and public affairs agency is looking for a motivated individual to lead clients on their public affairs initiatives. We’re looking for an Account Director or Senior Account Director (6+ years of professional experience) to handle strategic public affairs, grassroots advocacy, and public relations clients.    

Expected duties include: 

  • Media relations 
  • Strategic writing 
  • Grassroots network building and activation 
  • Monitoring, analyzing and evaluating media coverage 
  • Event management 
  • Client support and management 

 Requirements: 

  • 6+ years of professional experience 
  • Public affairs / issue advocacy experience 
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national government systems and how they work 
  • Excellent written communication skills 
  • Flexibility and ability to cope well under pressure 
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task daily  

Strongly Preferred: 

  • Campaign Experience 
  • Corporate Communications Experience 
  • Social Media Experience
