Senior Public Relations Director

We’re looking for a Senior Public Relations Director (10+ years of professional experience) to primarily handle strategic communications, public relations and public affairs clients. This position will involve managing day-to-day client relationships, overseeing an internal account team and providing clear directions to staff. Agency experience and interest in healthcare and/or public policy communications preferred.
Expected Duties:
- Client relations and management
- Develop and implement communication strategies
- Media relations and strategy
- Significant writing and content production
- Monitoring, analyzing and evaluating media coverage
- Event management
Job Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional experience
- Public relations or corporate communications experience
- Excellent written communication skills
- Flexibility and ability to cope well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task daily
- Ability to comprehend and translate complex issues into effective messaging and materials
Preferred Experience:
- Agency and client management experience
- Healthcare communications and advocacy experience
- Public affairs and policy experience or interest
