The Kentucky native brings two decades of high-level government and public relations experience across multiple industries and a history of leading winning legislative campaigns to the firm’s talented roster. Her primary focus at RunSwitch will be serving healthcare and public affairs clients.

Betsy most recently served as Vice President of Government Relations at Churchill Downs Incorporated, where she combined her passion for horse racing with her expertise in public policy. She spearheaded multiple legislative campaigns supporting Kentucky’s signature horse racing industry while also helping to expand the company’s footprint across the country. Prior to her tenure with Churchill Downs, Betsy led numerous successful advocacy campaigns at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, Smoke-Free Kentucky and the American Lung Association, championing policies to expand access to care.
Betsy is well-known for taking an active and generous role in her community, having served in board positions with Greater Louisville Inc., the Kentucky Equine Education Project, and the Kenton County Planning Commission throughout the years. In 2023, Louisville Business First named Betsy to their “20 People to Know: New Executives”.
