Louisville, Ky. (November 29, 2023)— RunSwitch PR announced Courtney Yopp Norris has joined the firm’s senior team. Norris’ career has taken her from Capitol Hill to Churchill Downs and even on a journey as an entrepreneur. Now, she joins RunSwitch as Senior Account Director where she’ll use her skills in media relations, social media content creation, and strategic planning for the firm’s clients.
“Our clients will benefit immediately from Courtney’s natural talent for sharp, focused, and fast-paced strategic communications,” said Scott Jennings, a Founding Partner of RunSwitch PR. “I’m grateful that someone of her caliber has chosen to join our team, and we look forward to continuing to deliver the best public relations advice and communications products in the region.”
Norris began her career in Washington, working on Capitol Hill for U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell and Congressman Brett Guthrie. Upon returning to her hometown of Louisville, Courtney led communications at Churchill Downs, serving as spokeswoman for the publicly traded company.
An entrepreneur, Norris launched “The Pocket Bakery,” a boutique mobile bakery with a sharp digital presence. She built high visibility and credibility for her business in a very short period.
“I’ve watched the expert team at RunSwitch PR strategically guide clients and issues of all types over the years, and to join this team is an honor. I’ve built up a unique skillset working in government, business, and politics, and I very much look forward to joining a team of results-focused professionals who know how to deliver for clients,” Norris said.
