Provides Integrated Digital Communications Services for Clients to Approach Emerging Media

RunSwitch Public Relations, the state’s largest PR firm, is expanding its services with the creation of a new digital division, tapping Chris Nation as its newest Vice President to lead the initiative.

The RunSwitch digital services division will focus on using emerging technologies to enhance and amplify public affairs and public relations efforts for clients. Built on research and understanding of the latest trends, these solutions will help the firm’s clients navigate and utilize digital communications strategies to better tell their stories. This provides an integrated approach to messaging including social media strategies, relationship-building with online influencers, and crafting optimized website content.

“I have known the talented team at RunSwitch for several years and have been impressed with the results they produce. It is an honor to join the number one PR firm in the state, and I am excited about the great work that lies in our future,” said Nation.

Recognized for his work in the digital space, Nation was invited to join the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), Interactive Media Council and the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). He was recognized in 2017 by Insider Louisville as one of the “Top 100 Marketing & Advertising Influencers in Louisville,” and is a 2017 recipient of Louisville Business First’s Forty Under 40 award.

“Chris has been a standout leader in the Louisville market and the digital world,” said RunSwitch Partner Gary Gerdemann. “We are honored for him to join us and further expand our client offerings.”

Founded in 2012 by veteran practitioners Gerdemann, Steve Bryant, and Scott Jennings, RunSwitch is one of the fastest-growing, full service PR firms in the nation, providing services to an impressive list of local, national, and international clients.  RunSwitch clients range from Fortune 500 companies and national trade associations to Kentucky businesses and non-profits. RunSwitch has twice been named a Business First “Best Place to Work.”

“With the addition of the digital division and the Bluegrass Media Lab, RunSwitch continues to offer more options to our client, allowing them to fully integrate their communications plans with new technologies and tactics,” Jennings said.

The Bluegrass Media Lab includes a television studio that is frequently featured on CNN, where Jennings is a political commentator appearing several times each week.

Partner Steve Bryant said: “As we approach the sixth anniversary of RunSwitch, we are excited to grow our team, capabilities, and client base. We now offer cutting-edge tactics and technologies in the digital and broadcast video space to help our clients thrive.”
