LOUISVILLE, KY (December 13, 2022)— RunSwitch PR, Kentucky’s largest full-service public relations and public affairs firm, has added Austin Shaffner to its growing team as Director of the firm’s video production studio, Bluegrass Media Lab. Austin brings more than a decade of video and creative production experience that will help RunSwitch continue to raise the bar for its clients.

“It’s a privilege to join the skilled professionals at RunSwitch who have an unmatched record of achievement,” said Shaffner. “The Bluegrass Media Lab helps clients share their story with the world in an appealing and engaging way. Our full suite of capabilities—from live shot broadcasting to drone video—will exceed expectations and deliver a product that makes a real impact.”

Prior to joining RunSwitch, Austin was the Assistant National Communications Director for Disabled American Veterans (DAV), which serves more than one million American veterans each year. While there, he developed video strategies and supported the organization’s national advocacy, fundraising and awareness efforts.

Austin also serves in the Kentucky Air National Guard as a Technical Sergeant in the 123rd Airlift Wing based in Louisville, KY. He is a Distinguished Honor Graduate of the Air Force Video Training school and produced a daily video airing in 177 countries worldwide.

“With his proven video experience and decorated service, we are proud to welcome Austin to lead RunSwitch’s Bluegrass Media Lab,” said Chris Nation, Vice President of Digital at RunSwitch PR. “Under his direction, we will continue to deliver outstanding audio and video services for our clients.”

RunSwitch PR proudly celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this year. The team is led by Steve Bryant, Gary Gerdemann and Scott Jennings, seasoned communication professionals with decades of combined experience in issue advocacy, media relations, crisis management and political consulting.
